We hire opportunistically. If someone shows up who can clearly own a surface we already need — even if we have not posted the role — we want to know about it before someone else does.
The bar is the same as a posted role. The difference is you are telling us what the role looks like, not the other way around.

How to write to us
Short, specific, signed.
We read every open application. A short, specific note beats a long résumé every time. Four things help us reply faster.
- What you would own
Be specific. Name the surface, not the title. "Our LoRA pipeline" beats "ML at HawtAds".
- One thing you have shipped
Link to it if you can. Tell us what you traded off and what you would do differently.
- Why now
Why HawtAds, why this year, why not your current thing. Short answer is fine.
- How to reach you
Email, your work (site, GitHub, writing), and your timezone.
What happens next
Real reply, honest answer.
No auto-responder, no silent rejection. If you write a real note, you get a real reply.
- We read everything
Every open application is read by the founder, usually within a week.
- If there is a fit
We reply with a 45-minute intro call. From there, the process matches whichever role we open around you.
- If there is not
We will say so honestly. We keep notes — if something changes on our side, we will come back to you.
